Welcome to Mountain Moma blog! Sigh…I know Moma is spelled wrong. I had a dickens of a time finding a blog name that wasn’t taken. Late one night I found this one, and then realized the next day I spelled Momma wrong! But the good news is you can google me and I am the first one that pops up, so I decided to keep it. In a way it is a reflection of me as well as my life…I’m not perfect, and I don’t have a perfect life. I hope to continue growing and learning through all this imperfection!
My name is Gayle, I am a wife, a mother, and grandmother. I work part time as a nurse and live in the foothills of the mountains, in Washington state. You will find here a patchwork of all the sweet, simple things I love. Simple hand stamped cards, prayer shawls, nature, Sacred Sunday thoughts, and family life in an old vintage house. I adore comments so please leave me a note! Fix a cup of tea, and join me as we share thoughts and life with kindred spirits who are treasuring “those things which are the real ones after all.”
Blessings,
Gayle

I just read your blog and want to let you know I enjoyed everything you wrote. I especially like the quote about marriage and the promise. My husband and I celebrate our 37th anniversary next week and I am thinking of putting that in a card that I am making for him.
I also enjoy your Sacred Life Sundays.
I am a new member of the Gracious Hospitality chat with LaDonna so you will be seeing my name in the yahoo chats. I also live in the Pacific NW. (Oregon).
Just thought I would say Hello!
Winnie
Thank you for writing Winnie! I so appreciate your encouragement, I don’t get very many comments and sometimes wonder who in the world is reading my blog! Congratulations on being married 37 years. Our 30th is in October. I liked that quote as well, sometimes it is the commitment that you have made to each other that get’s you through the hard times.
Hi Gayle, You are very creative and I love the colors you use. I think you are someone very close to nature and high family values, and a God fearing person. Tell me if I am wrong ?? But I feel so. I am Naush and you can read my blog on http://www.naush.wordpress.com I am 37, married 10 yrs and mom to 3 simply adorable boys, staying in Dubai and am making cards professionally.
Life is very beautiful, pity so few people think so. I will keep in touch with you. I am quite a computer bug, but never leave comments. You are the first person I felt like complimenting on your lovely postings. Kindest regards. Naush
Thank you for leaving a comment Naush! It is amazing how the web connects so many people from all over the world! Life is sweet and beautiful, and sometimes it is hard as well. I try to keep my face turned toward the light and focus on the good things, the things I am so abundantly blessed with. Some days I do it better than others, but I continue to try to find joy daily.
Dearest Gayle,
Howdy from Choctaw! I finally got internet. Please don’t faint. I hope you are well. I love your beautiful ministry with the prayer shawls. And, I loved to see your beautiful face. I miss the long talks that we had when our children were little. Well, life is rapidly changing for us. Hopefully, some day I will have a scanner and be able to send you pictures too. May God continue to bless you and your family.
I love your blog, the words and pictures are beautiful.
I just wanted to say hello and leave good wishes on your blog! Sharing a cup of tea with you…~ janice
Stopping by to say hello and to mention that I am also a Washington resident and live in a suburb just north of Seattle I recently created my first blog and have lots and lots to learn about this process.
I couldn’t help but notice that I have also used the same quote of Laura ingalls Wilder with my blog heading. Looks like we share the same mind set on what’s important in life!!
Looking forward to reading more of your postings.
God Bless,
Judy
Hey Gayle…love your blog…It’s nice to find a down-home nature loving place on the web! Great pictures too…you need more! It’s fun to look at the world through your eyes…
Congrats on being married thirty years! Wow! You don’t look old enough to have been married that long! Mike and I will celebrate our 25th in March 2010.
Gayle, I have enjoyed reading some of your blogs and looking at the beautiful pictures. I will be back! ! ! I am excited about getting back in touch with you after all these years!
I just stumble onto your blog because your gravatar picture reminded me of home, so of course I had to come check out where you are from. Well, it turned out not to be my home, but it is beautiful just the same! I will definately be keeping tabs on your blog!
